Roof Panel Installation
Precision Panel Structural Insulated Roof Panels need to bear on a
ridge beam, purlins, rafters and / or walls. Most commonly, a Precision
Panel Roof Panel will span freely from a ridge beam to the side wall and
terminate at the eave. The eave length can vary and the roof panel can
cantilever 4' from the wall.
Using a boom truck (for larger beams) the beam is lifted into place. The
lumber wraps are sandwiched between the wall panel skins. Once the beam is
in place, nail or screw through the OSB skins into the end of the beam as
well.

The Precision Panel Structural insulated roof panel thickness for any
project is determined by knowing the longest horizontal span (not the 'run
length' of a panel) and the minimum design load requirement (snow load)
for the area in which the panels will be installed. Precision Panel can
help you determine the required thickness of your Precision Panel
Structural Insulated Roof Panels.
